It’s hard to believe how long it has been since I’ve written a post. The Mr. and I’ve have been away on our honeymoon for 3 whole weeks, travelling and feasting through the ultra cosmopolitans, Japan and Hong Kong. I’m crying inside as I edit photos from our trip, reminiscing every mind blowing bite we devoured.
In the mean time, let’s talk cocktails. I’m an avid gin drinker but often find myself reverting to making the same drinks at home. Uninspired, I typically shake or stir up the same ol’ Negroni, Aviation, Bee’s Knees… perhaps you can relate.

If you, too, rely on bartenders to concoct creative drinks for you, try your hands at these 5 gin cocktail recipes that I snagged from Pourhouse for Serious Eats. Pourhouse is a Gastown neighbourhood bar and restaurant that I frequent because they’re equally serious about their food and cocktail programs. I’m a bottomless pit when I drink so that’s important. The cocktail recipes are not particularly difficult and there’s something for everyone, from frothy and bright to round and herbal.

I’ll be back shortly with write-ups of our most amazing and memorable dining experiences in Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, and Hong Kong. Don’t miss it if you’re travelling that-a-way soon. Stay tuned and thirsty!
