It’s official. On 11.11.11., we got married at the edge of the hill country in Austin, Texas. Everything turned out perfectly and we honestly could not have asked for more. I only wish that we could have made time stand still because the spectacular evening flew right by.
Before I have time to write a proper post, here is a sneak peek.
We exchanged vows among our friends and family during a short and sweet ceremony as the sun was setting. Having our friends travel from afar to join us made the moment oh so special.
After the ceremony, we popped the champagne and the party started with stellar pork belly tostatas and other passed canapés. As we went around to greet our friends, they ooo’d and aah’d at my unique edible bouquet. Not wanting to let anything go to waste, all of our bouquets, boutonnieres, and centre pieces were made from a variety of fresh vegetables. We encouraged our guests to take them home and to cook them after.
The food at the reception was spectacular but that’s for another post. Let’s just say that we were beyond thrilled with the menu and the execution.
Our first dance was to Adele’s Make You Feel My Love. He sang to me as he spun me around and swept me off my feet. I had no doubt that marrying Pete was the best decision I’ve ever made.
I could make you happy
Make your dreams come true
Nothing that I wouldn’t do
Go to the ends
Of the Earth for you
To make you feel my love
We’d like to thank our friends and family that made 11.11.11. a seamless and unforgettable night. We love you all so very much.
