Polenta cake with sancha ice cream + Umi "cannoli" at Hapa Umi. Cannoli was pretty messy to eat. Cake wins!

Super Butter Pretz. Injecting more butter into a classic makes it an instant new favourite.

Finally, BC Okanagan cherries! The record-breakingly cold weather delayed all summer fruits this year. Going to eat as much as possible while they last.

To cleanse my palate from the stilton aftertaste from the sandwich, I had a scoop of coconut water gelato at Bella Gelateria.

Simple breakfast meeting at The Outpost Cafe, a quaint little spot in East Vancouver. Poached eggs, fruit, and excellent buttered baguette.

Delectable housemade charcuterie platter at Tapenade Bistro in Steveston, Richmond. The chicken liver pâté was my favourite.

I'm not typically a fan of Japanese chocolates but Meiji's Earl Grey chocolate is quite nice. Subtle tea flavour, smooth chocolate, more novel than anything.

Xiao Long Bao (steamed soup dumplings) at Dinesty in Richmond. These are delicate, 1 biters with flavourful broth and thin wrapping. The rest of the meal was lacking, unfortunately. I don't get the hype at all.

Another week of consumption to envy! I love this concept of a weekly roundup; very entertaining. I had a very sad dinner at the Greedy Pig a while back. It’s a crying shame because the name & exterior scream France, but it doesn’t fill expectations. It needs someone who knows what they are doing to step in.

Thank you so much, Brian! As for The Greedy Pig, that’s really too bad. The place was absolutely dead when we went in. What a neat little location – it’s really a shame.

You know me too well. The girls’ night out at Tapenade was pretty epic tho. Went through way too many bottles of wine. ;) Thanks for dropping by dear!

Got nice shots there. Oh, I would love to have a taste of that Xiao Long Bao. They’re dumplings but they shaped different from what I’ve tasted before..
