Sweet Saturdays at Vancouver’s Baker Market

Whether you have a sweet-tooth or not, Vancouver’s Baker Market is a fun and relaxing way to spend a Saturday afternoon. Hobby and professional bakers alike present their specialty baked goods and confectioneries in a warehouse space on East Kent Ave (Between Main and Fraser St).

The galore of pies, cookies, pastries, cupcakes etc. is overwhelming at first. The strategy is to sample everything before purchasing your favourites. The vendors are very eager to hand out nibbles and answer any questions. There are even gluten-free options available.

Don’t forget to bring your own containers and shopping bags to carry your goodies home.

At the moment, the last scheduled baker market is this Saturday, May 8th. Take mom with you or pick up some sweets in time for Mother’s Day.
