Hi there,

Just wanted to say and tell you that your photography rocks. I can’t wait for the next time I’m in Van to eat my heart out. What is your tecnnique for getting good home/indoor photos? I struggle with lack of natural light and overhead lights look awful. If you ever get bored, pls. do a post on taking well lit food photos.

I am a HUGE huge fan of Shanghainese Cuisine, and I couldn’t pass up an opportunity to comment on this post. As you already know, there are many Shanghainese restaurants in Richmond…and yes, I have tried all of them. Those of you who are fans of the famed Xiao Long Bao MUST try the below three restaurants. They are among the top rated in Richmond, and are packed almost every weekend year round. Here are my picks, my favorite being numero uno of course, =)

After coming back from Shanghai this April, I must say that we are very lucky in the Lower Mainland; to be able to experience this authentic cuisine straight from its birthplace!
